U-Store-It Yellow pages ad competition (Graphic Design Studio 1)
Our first project this semester was to enter a nation wide student competition to design a yellow pages ad for this storage company. The winner gets $2,000 and has their ad used in the yellow pages in the San Antonio, Texas area. We had to make a full page ad, half page ad, and a small web ad. The concept here was to use the cardboard as a familiar association with moving or storage and play off some of the printed information on boxes. The pieces of cardboard are messy, to compliment the feel of a move or packing in general, plus it makes it look pretty neat. The winners wont be announced til mid may so I’m keeping my fingers crossed; daddy needs a new sofa!
